On Friday I will be 37 weeks, which is officially full-term! Wooo-hooooo! Within the last few days I have really started to notice the contractions. My doctor confirmed last week that she is head-down, which is great news!
I finally gave in and took a few 1/2 days at school this week. It is incredibly hard, especially since we are down to our last 4 days of school, but I am so extremely exhausted and uncomfortable by 12:00. So ultimately I know it is for the best. Next week I will begin moving out of my classroom. For those of you who haven't heard, I have decided to take a year leave from teaching in order to be home with our little girl. It is really bittersweet - on one hand I am soooo grateful to have the opportunity to be home with her, but it is also sad to leave the classroom. However, I truly feel like this is the best decision for our family and I am really, truly excited for this new adventure!
Patrick and I spent much of last weekend assembling lots of baby stuff, washing baby clothes, and organizing around the house. I am packing our hospital bags today and tomorrow Martha's mom is going to help install our carseat. We are almost ready!!! Yippeeee!
Whoo hoo!! have the bag packed!! I didn't have anything ready for any of the kids and it was a pain!! Super excited for you!! My middle son loves your cats!!
ReplyDeleteSpice, good for you for taking the year off! Lets chat soon about that. I did the same and was SO hesitant and sad to leave my job, but it was by far the BEST decision I have ever made. I am going back doing a 0.8 - so we can hang out in the mornings with our little ones :)
ReplyDeleteAt this point I know you are just gearing up for baby and such. So we prob won't get a chance to hook up before she arrives. I am sure you will post on one of the various outlets when you have her :) I want to bring over a meal for you guys after you give birth!
